Important Announcement
What you are looking at is my rat virago, dubbed '42'. She started as a shiny bike with lots of chrome on it, but after an uninsured accident, I began taking artistic liberties with it, and began liking it more and more.
I got it together using a welder after the accident, and left all welds unpainted, and they turned nice and orange! At this point I stopped washing it alltogether.

The tail pipes were sanded down to be painted, but then the pipes began changing colors like autumn leaves, and i decided to leave it be. At this point, I decided that I hated the stock grey paintjob as well, so I got a bunch of rattle cans and painted it the way I saw fit.
Now it is tastefully gnarly in all the right ways. A lot of the influence of this bike came from this site; had I not come across it I may have sold my bike for parts and tried to get the next shiny thing on the block. Thank you, ratbike.org!
