Here are a couple photos of my old XS650 I used to have.
Before: 30,000-mile '77 XS650, various oil leaks, and a set homemade drag pipes I made. I hated that
seat and handlebars back then and couldn't wait to replace them. It looked nice with the solid aluminum
round-stock desert bars and the NOS stock seat, too, but looking at it now in the picture I think the
ripped touring seat and high bars are sort of cool. Hmmm.

After, front and rear: Trials front tire and dual-sport rear, shortened turn signals,
homemade upswept mufflers, 50(?)-tooth rear sprocket for better trail performance. Fun
all-around bike, at least below 55 mph. It got pretty buzzy above that with the lower final-drive ratio.
A hill-climbin' maniac, as long as the hill didn't involve jumps. Not a bad trail bike for something that
must have weighed 450 lbs. Looked good in mud, I thought.
