Replacement Intake Rubbers
I had a CB750 '82 model that hated me. It was what I believe
was the only model made that had a curved intake tube things.
The fuel inlet holes on the block had a curved rubber tube to go
to the perfectly lined up carburetors. The rubber tube things (no
idea what they are called) were all dry rotted, cracked and
useless. New ones are thirty bucks each, and I needed four. I
went down to the autoparts place and got a radiator tube with a
slightly smaller circumference than the inlet holes (not hard to
find the right size or close to it) and cut them along the curves
with a hack saw. They worked great and stretched to fit the
carbs and formed a tight seal, then were clamped down.
Radiator hose is made to handle antifreeze, so it should handle
gas and air mixture. Worked awesome for me while my carbs
worked. Also saved me 110 bucks. Would work on any carb
connection that's a rubber tube.
